Daniel Radcliffe throws shade at Tom Brady over Maga hat.

The Make America Great Again hat associated with President Donald Trump is one that causes a lot of outcry, and this fact has not passed Daniel, who isn’t best pleased with Tom’s love for the accessory.

While promoting his new show Miracle Worker at 2019 Sundance Film Festival, the Harry Potter star took aim at the 41-year-old New England Patriots quarterback.

‘He should stop winning things,’ Daniel said at the annual event when asked if Tom should retire. ‘Take that MAGA hat out your locker.’

Oh, meow. Don’t hold back, Dan!

The 29-year-old was referring to the time Tom was interviewed after the Patriots won the 2017 Super Bowl and there was a Make America Great Again hat in his locker, showing his support for Trump.

This comes just before Dan defied the cold to greet fans who outside the event.

The actor posed for pictures and the odd selfie while cosied up in a woolly hat and thick winter jacket in Park City, Utah.

Joining Daniel at the events were his co-stars Karan Soni and Geraldine Viswanathan as they attended the festival to promote their upcoming show which premieres 12 February on TBS.

Dan may have been out and about, and making some comments this weekend but that hasn’t stopped him from being going incognito to research for a role.

The star is currently playing a fact-checker on stage in Broadway’s The Lifespan of Fact, and it’s been revealed the extent to which he prepared for the role.

You see, he became a fact-checker himself, to really immerse himself in the newsroom.

The Brit headed to The New Yorker’s offices to call people up and verify details in the publication’s articles – and after voicing his surprise (and happiness at being able to confirm with show producers) the editors really do have covers of their mag spread over the walls, he was set to work.

Just because the lad is one of the most famous faces around right now, don’t think he was given the easy treatment – no, he still had someone managing him and merely introduced himself over the phone as ‘Dan from The New Yorker’.

Before launching into his first assignment, he told the publication: ‘I’m more nervous about this than I am about going onstage tonight.’

The account then described in extremely vivid detail ‘Dan from The New Yorker’ checking a review of a restaurant – his ‘pencil trembling’.

After noting everything from how the grasshopper was ‘toasted’ and their aesthetic was more ‘Mexican than Californian’ he exhaled and hung up: ‘I just fact-checked a fucking article!

‘Nothing I do today will be harder than that.’

In a rather humour turn of events, though, Daniel noted it was ‘very meta’ he was then called by the very same fact-checking department he’d interned in earlier to verify the details of their piece.

According to the publication, everything checked out… apart from the fact he’d been drinking a cappuccino, not a latte, and had been to Mexico.

The more you know, in fact.
