Deontay Wilder plans to ‘disfigure’ Tyson Fury when the two meet in their trilogy fight on 24 July.

Following a controversial draw in 2018, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ suffered the first defeat of his professional career when he was blasted out in seven rounds by Fury in February 2020, losing his WBC heavyweight title as a result.

Fury had been set to meet Anthony Joshua in an all-British heavyweight unification showdown in Saudi Arabia this summer only for Wilder’s successful arbitration hearing to dash those plans and offer him a chance of revenge against ‘The Gypsy King’.

Speaking for the first time since his successful legal case, Wilder told 78 Sports TV: ‘My mindset is just so different.

‘My mentality is, how you have been contemplating about hurting a person so bad to the point where you want to disfigure him so his mother wouldn’t know who he was if she passed by him.

‘When you have had your mind set on this one person and how you want to decapitate him in every f*****g way possible. It’s like that premeditated stuff.’

All parties have now signed the contract for Fury vs Wilder III on 24 July in Las Vegas.

Wilder continued: ‘When I do see him, I’m going to love to see what I feel when I’m thinking… how my senses change when he’s in my environment because I’ve been contemplating whooping this man on this very night.

‘Now we have a date as well, training has been even more intense because those camps, even though they were intense, we had no guidance. We didn’t have an ETA. We didn’t know where we was going we just wanted to stay in shape.

‘Now that we have an ETA, a location, it makes training more intensified. Because it means something now, it is in the books, it is for certain now, there is nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

‘You’ve got to go through me, the hardest puncher in the heavyweight division, probably in history. And I’m going to continue with that reign. They can’t take my pride, they can’t discourage me from what I’m trying to do.’
