CHATSWORTH – Bronny James, the son of Lakers star LeBron James, will make his sophomore season debut for Sierra Canyon’s basketball team Friday night, June 11, at home against Corona Centennial in the CIF Southern Section Open Division final.

Bronny James has been out all of the spring season due to knee surgery he had in February. He’s been practicing for weeks and was recently cleared to play.

Sierra Canyon carries a 15-0 record into their fourth straight appearance in the sectional final.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis and recording artist Drake are expected to be in attendance at the game.

Bronny’s performance

Bonny checked into the game with over a minute to play in the first quarter. He had a steal that led to a layup right away. Later in the fourth quarter, he had a crafty layup and a 3-pointer in front of the Sierra Canyon bench that cut the Centennial lead to three, 70-67, with 3:57 to play.

He finished with seven points.

Sierra Canyon lost 80-72, ending the program’s 21-game postseason winning steak dating back to 2018. Click HERE for full game story.
